Naam Daan
The spiritual initiation or “giving of the Name” by a living Master, where the disciple receives a mantra (spiritual sound) to practice meditation and connect inwardly with the Divine.
Simran
The practice of silent meditation and repetition of the given mantra to focus the mind and experience the inner spiritual light and sound.
Satsang
A spiritual gathering where disciples listen to discourses by the Master or senior devotees, chant devotional songs, and engage in meditation.
Seva

Selfless service performed without expectation of reward, offered to the Master, the Dera, or fellow seekers as a part of spiritual discipline.

Dera
A spiritual center or community established by a Master where disciples gather for meditation, service, and guidance.
Sant Mat
A spiritual tradition based on the teachings of saints, emphasizing direct personal experience of the Divine through meditation on inner light and sound.
Ruhanyat
Spiritual consciousness or awakening bestowed by the Master through initiation and ongoing guidance
Shabad
Sacred hymns or devotional songs, often sung during Satsangs, which help elevate the spirit and focus the mind on the Divine.
Joti Jot

A term meaning the passing of a Master from physical form to spiritual light, signifying their leaving the earthly body but continuing spiritual presence.
